5 Healthy Valentine’s Day Ideas for Couples and Singles

Whether you are single or already have a Valentine you are celebrating with, this sugary holiday doesn’t have to break the bank or be filled with sweets and rich foods. Some of the most fulfilling Valentine’s Day plans will simply fill you up from the inside out… and keep your heart full long after the hallmark holiday is over.

  1. Wellness Dinner:

Not to toot our own horn, but this is a pretty amazing way to spend the day before Valentines day, whether it is with your honey, solo, or with your “galentine.” The delicious dinner is on us, and the best part is you’ll connect with others interested in health while growing your own wellness. The theme this month is: 5 Keys to Adapting and Optimizing Your Health.

  2. Breakfast-in-Bed Heart Shaped Fruit bowl

Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to treat yourself or your Valentine to bowl of healthy watermelon love bombs, or simply arrange sliced fruit and berries into a heart shape.   Check out that and other ideas like it HERE

  3. Write a love letter to yourself:

Embrace the idea that we can love others more when we can love ourselves. Write yourself a loving letter and tell yourself all the things you are proud of, what you love about your personality (you can find at least five), and all the things you would die to have someone else to tell you. If you do have a partner, both do it and read them to each other.

“I love you, I don't say it enough

I love who you are, who you've become

Don't know why I cannot hear it

'Less it comes from someone else

But I'ma find a way to finally feel it

When I say it to myself”

-From “Love Myself” by Andy Grammer

  4. Massage:

This is a perfect Valentines day activity whether you go get a massage, give your partner one, or melt away your stress with this Winter Self-Massage Ritual for Health that can keep you blissful daily.

  5. Send a Valentine

Whether or not you have a partner to celebrate Valentine’s Day with, think of someone you know who doesn’t.  Send them some love and let them know what you appreciate about them.  Who will it light up their day to get an unexpected card in the mail? Who knows, it may be just the pick me up they were needing.  In the office we have a Valentine station set up for people to do just that.

Whether you want fun meeting new people, or a soul-nourishing evening at home, make Valentine’s Day a chance to feel more in love with LIFE this year.
