Healthy Hedonism

Balancing health with enjoyment is a joy and challenge of the holidays. Yes, making healthy choices is always the best first option. Either way, grace and savvy can create the space to minimize the impact. Giving the extra support necessary helps make the not-so-healthy choices more healthy!

Here are a few tips for how to stay healthiest while you have a good time this season.

1. Alternate drinks with water

Help your body rehydrate, flush out the alcohol, and slow down the intake. Your head will thank you in the morning.

2. Take Vitamin C

This antioxidant, which is also a building block for collagen, is used up more rapidly by alcohol. Replenish with a quality supplement to feel better and also support healthy hair, skin, nails, ligaments and blood vessels!

3. Help Your Liver's Detox for Less Hangover

THIS is my favorite trick when I'm having a couple drinks to feel surprisingly better in the morning. Take 2 with every drink. If you have holiday parties coming up, grab a couple of bottles. CLICK HERE

4. Pass the bean dip

If you can't avoid the sugary drinks, make sure to eat some fiber rich foods and probiotics to minimize the sugary impact.

5. Workout in the morning

This will keep your mood up, sweat out the toxins, energize you without the caffeine crash, and balance out the high calories of alcohol and other holiday treats.

Of course abstinence and moderation are great first choices. Follow these tips whatever your choice to feel the best this holiday season.
