Science of the Heart

I often say that we are "Heart-Centered' Chiropractic. Of course what I mean when I say that is that we are about so much more than a transactional experience. CONNECTION matters. Relationships come first. And who you are and what you dream to be means even more to me than the set of symptoms you may be experiencing.

So it is sort of a coincidence (and sort of NOT, when you read this book) that we happen to also use a really cool test in our office called Heart Rate Variability (HRV) which uses your heart rhythms to measure your body's adaptability to stress.

There is SO much cool research on HRV when it comes to understanding…

  • The field of human potential and performance

  • How stressful lifestyle can lead to exhaustion and draining of a person's reserves

  • How low HRV can lead to early aging and poor health

  • And yes, published research has shown that chiropractic is great for heart rate variability

And there is even more next-level, cool, emerging research out there about the heart. We use a lot of it in our office and this book I found goes through all of that cool information (and it's a free e-book!)  (I'll share below.)

These are some of the things it talks about:

Health Outcomes
Resilience Stress, and Emotions
Intuition Research: Coherence and the Surprising Role of the Heart
Social Coherence: Outcome Studies in Organizations
and even Global Coherence Research: Human-Earth Interconnectivity

SO Cool.

OH, and if all of this is sounding extraordinarily intriguing and you had the thought "I wonder if I can have MY Heart Rate Variability measured?" I'm going to give you a super fun gift just for this Heart-Centered holiday everyone is celebrating.

Usually we do the HRV test as a part of our Comprehensive new patient Neuro-Structural Exam (which is not free at all, though the pre-consultation is.) But in celebration of the heart health month, I want to invite you to come and visit me at the office, and we will do a Free HRV scan for you! The scan itself takes 3 minutes, and I'll also take a few minutes going over the results with you and what it means based on what you have going on in your life and your health.
