Heavy/Painful Periods: Women’s Health (Part 2)

You almost certainly know someone that knows well the life-interrupting, and sometimes agonizing challenge of heavy and/or painful periods, if not yourself.  It is one of the major issues that are specific to women's health.   I'll share some important considerations, and strategies for restoring balance for something that is inconvenient at best and life threatening at worst.

NOTE: Make sure you read to the end--I don't mean to exaggerate, but the natural solution I share for cramps is practically a miracle in my mind.

1. Watch Out for Environmental Factors

If you didn't already, make sure you check out Part 1 where I shared about certain chemicals that cause hormone imbalances that are SO prevalent in our world that you are almost certainly affected by them (I can't believe this isn't talked about more often!)--and what to do about them   READ ABOUT THAT HERE.

2. Focus on Blood-building

First of all, if you have heavy periods, it is extremely important that you are taking an iron supplement.  (You also want to make sure you have a healthy GI tract that can absorb the iron properly.)   Iron deficiency causes low energy, cold hands and feet, cravings, anxiety, shortness of breath, headaches, restless legs, and more.

  • Take a quality supplement that is able to be absorbed and non-constipating  (no department store brands!) which for most people are easier then eating foods high in iron such as liver, clams and oysters.  I like Blood-Builder by Mega Foods, or Floradix Iron and Herbs (both are 20% off when you get it through my Optimize Store on Wellevate)

  • Avoid taking iron with other foods that inhibit iron, such as milk, coffee, black tea, and red wine, and take it with foods that are high in vitamin C, which enhances absorption.

  • Include vitamins that are well known to help with iron absorption and blood formation.   (For convenience both of the above supplements include those right in the supplement)

3. Chiropractic Care

Regular chiropractic care helps your body feel and function at it's best.

4.  Avoid Painkillers, Use THIS Instead!

Pain Killers cause stomach ulcers, internal bleeding and fluid retention, and risk of liver and kidney damage: I have had care members have kidney markers in their blood tests improve after receiving regular care and no longer having to use pain killers.

HOW to Survive Without Painkillers?

LADIES, I AM ABOUT TO UNLEASH A SECRET that is a game changer. I get pretty nasty cramps myself and I personally have not found a natural product that has been as amazingly effective as this is for menstrual cramps.  It's called CRAMPLEX by Mediherb.   If you get regular cramps you MUST keep a bottle of this around.  (Yes you can also get this with my Optimize Store discount on Wellevate!

A friend of mine who consistently had bad menstrual cramps shared that since she started using Cramplex and no longer needed other pain killers, her stomach was no longer all torn up every month from all the Ibuprofin she had previously been taking.

Studies show that it also becomes MORE effective over time.  So it's helpful the first time you take it, and even better in subsequent cycles!
